str-ing.org is a Berlin-based research and technology initiative developing participatory tools to better understand how people engage with art and what it means to collect in a fragmented world.
We collaborate with academic partners, galleries, and cultural stakeholders to study patterns of taste, identity, and engagement through behavioral research. Our work brings together curatorial insight, design ethics, and data literacy to build tools that support a more transparent and inclusive cultural ecosystem.
At the heart of our current activity is the Collector Insight Project, a university-partnered study exploring how collectors navigate the art world. The insights from this initiative will help shape the next generation of cultural infrastructure including Rated.Q, our forthcoming platform designed to help collectors reflect, connect, and eventually transact more meaningfully.
Str-ing.org UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is supported through public grants, private partnerships, and an evolving network of institutional collaborators. Our mission is to bridge research and application to move from understanding behavior to empowering participation.
